Protocol, Speech, & Etiquette (SPEECH Lesson)

Honorifics

A honorific title is a word or expression with connotations conveying esteem or respect when used in addressing or referring to a Dominate.
Honorifics to be used - Sir, Mr, Ma'am, and Miss
Most honorific's are Male or Female. When the sex of the Dominate is not know, it is appropriate to ask, use Sir/Ma'am, or Sir (?) to indicate you're not sure.
Master is only allow for owned slaves referring to their Owner.
Owned submissives/slaves may refer to their Owner as their Owner has instructed them.

NOTE - The Gorean honroifics of Master and Jarl are not to be used except by That Teacher's slaves as they are directed to.

Order

When greeting or responding, it should be respond in order except when multiple items are seen or received. (i.e a blast of greets)
The order for multiple items is - Dom, Domme, girl, boy.

Required in School-of-O when student is available

Linguistic Conventions

Words, names, titles, hoorifics and pronouns that refer to Dominants should be Capitalized (I, Him, Her, Master, Miss, Teacher)
Words, names, titles, hoorifics and pronouns that refer to submissives should be lower case (i, me, him, her, slut, slave, student)
This practice was popularized on internet chatrooms, to make it easier to identify the orientation of the writer or the person being written about and has spread to many other forms of text based communication.

Pronouns

Pronouns may be used when refering to Teachers and other students.
When doing so, a pronoun referencing a Dominant should begin with an upper case letter, while a pronoun referring a submissive should be lowercase.
This also applies when the submissive refers to themselves. (NOTE: for a submissive - I should be i).

Third Person - Objectification

Third person is when the slave/submissive is not allowed to refer to themselves in the 1st person. (this girl vs i).
It is used for objectification to re-enforce that a submissive is nothing more than property and are granted no personal power by removing their identity.
It may be required by a submissives owner.

Optional in School-of-O

Slash Speak

This is when S/someone uses capital and normal case letters whenever a pronoun or person identifying word that could include Dominants and submissives.
It is used only in written speech online and for the R/reader can get very confusing very quickly.
Is is to show submission in that Y/you recognize there are Dominants and submissives present or could be accounted for in Y/your conversation.

Repect and Politeness

It is expected and required that A/all will be respectful, polite and courteous.
submissives may invoke or remind Dominates of their limits, but it must be done in a respectful, polite fashion. if the Dominate objects, please ignore them and notify and Op. It is not worth getting into an arguement or spat.

sub/slave demeanor

A sub/slave is humble, quiet, respectful, and polite.
being vocal, defiant, boisterous, bratty, braggadocious is not expected.

NOTE:
a sub/slave may decline service and usage and should do so in a polite repsectful manner. If any issues are encountered, report to an Op.
bimbos and dolls may be flirty and tease.
punishment is expected to be taken and performed to the sub/slaves best effort within its limits
SAMs - Smart Ass Masocists are not tolerated.
